Drink some Rhone varietals with your favorite Rangers

rhone-rangers.jpgThis Wednesday, Hollywood will be invaded (for one night only) by those unpredictable mavericks of the California wine scene, the Rhone Rangers.  Since the 1980s, Rhone varietals and blends have become popular alternatives to the Cabs and Merlots that used to dominate the local shelves, and the Rangers — the group of winemakers who’ve been active in growing and promoting varietals such as Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre — have been leading that charge.

The event takes place on Wednesday, June 4th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Raleigh Studios (5300 Melrose Ave, between Gower and Western — enter through Van Ness gate).  Over fifty wineries will be pouring, including some Young Winos favorites such as Blair Fox, Eberle, J. Lohr, Michael-David, Summerland, and Tablas Creek.  Parking is free when you book at the number below.

That’s not all — the Young Winos are also very pleased to be on the receiving end of a pair of great deals.  First of all, there’s a Young Winos ten-dollar single ticket discount, so you pay $50 instead of $60 just by mentioning the Young Winos name.  And the even better deal is this: if you come with a friend, you can get two tickets for the regular price of one ($60 for both).  That’s only $30 a piece, so long as you book two.  Simply call 310-459-7570 x4 and mention that you’re a Young Wino of LA.  See you there—
