Young Winos of LA

Come out to the Wine & Spirits Magazine “Hot Picks” event in Culver City this Thursday and meet your favorite Wino! The three-hour taste-n-shmooze will feature over 70 wines from the magazine’s “Critics Picks” list, published yearly in the June issue. Guests at the event will include the young sommeliers from local bastions of gastronomy such as Comme Ca, Grace, and Katana (see the full list here). The event costs $75 — covered in the fee is full access to all the wines featured, as well as great food and wine from the various restaurants participating. In addition, you get a one-year subscription to Wine & Spirits Magazine with the price of admission!

Who’s the more attractive group of up-and-coming wine talent, those Seattle coffee expatriates or the LA lushes? You be the judge.

The event is a benefit for water conservation (portions of the proceeds go to Surfrider), and the Winos have long embraced the organizers’ suggestion that we all endeavor to save water by drinking more wine.
